Toyota Harrier seeing runaway sales success in Japan
By CARSIFU | 20 July 2020TOKYO: The new Toyota Harrier SUV is seeing runaway sales success in Japan with more than 45,000 orders in the first month after its launch, according to a report by Asahi.com.
The Asahi.com report also noted the orders are about 15 times the monthly sales target of 3,100 units.
A Toyota spokesperson said it would take up to 5 months or more, from order to delivery.
The new Toyota Harrier started sales in Japan on June 17, and is powered by a 2.0 litre or a hybrid with a 2.5-litre petrol engine.
It is priced from 2,990,000 yen to 5,040,000 yen (from RM120,000 to RM202,000).
This is the first Toyota model to get a Digital Inner Mirror, which enables recording of images to the front and rear of the vehicle while driving.
