By RIZAL JOHAN | 23 October 2020PETALING JAYA: Entertainment news outlet Deadline has announced that Fast and Furious director, Justin Lin, will direct two more films of the franchise, which makes it 11 films in total.
The latest Fast and Furious 9 or F9 which was due to be released this year has been pushed for cinema release in 2021.
What the final two films are about is currently unknown but we can assume it will bring the Fast and Furious series to a close with the original cast consisting of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang.
Newcomers to the series Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham have gone on their own spin-off film, Hobbes and Shaw.
Chris Morgan, the series’ screenwriter, will likely come back for the two final films, and be produced by Universal Pictures and Diesel’s One Race Films.
