UMW Toyota moves its outlets to dealers
By CARSIFU | 01 July 2020PETALING JAYA: UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) announced that two of its own outlets in Klang Valley have been transferred to dealers to enhance operational excellence with effect from July 1, 2020.
This follows the company’s announcement earlier in Oct 2017 and Nov 2018 that it would be transferring the majority of its branch retail operations to its dealers and other relevant parties.
The dealers from Klang Valley, Laser Motor PJ Sdn Bhd will take over the Section 19 PJ outlet and Fokus Sentral Sdn Bhd will take over the Cheras outlet accordingly.

This allows UMWT to increase intensity on high value added upstream activities such as product development, marketing and dealer network support, while dealers continue to dedicate themselves towards delivering customer satisfaction.
“I am extremely excited about working even more closely with our dealers to realise a shared vision for UMWT, which is to promise the concept of “Best In Town”, meaning more focused one to one customer engagement. Although this arrangement signifies an important change for UMWT, our customers should rest assured that our service will not be compromised, but get even better in the future” said its president, Ravindran Kurusamy.
