WATCH: Asean-made Peugeot SUVs
By CARSIFU | 22 June 2022PETALING JAYA: Peugeot posted up a video earlier this month about the local assembly of the 2008, 3008 and 5008 at the Stellantis plant in Gurun that was bought over from the Naza group.
Peugeot sees the Asean market as pivotal to its growth and has made the Gurun plant its hub for export to other Asean markets.
In the video, Peugeot regional product planner Aswi Bujang said the vehicles are subjected to harsh weather testing and road conditions specific to our region to ensure they pass with flying colours.
Field trials of the 2008 have exceeded 200,000km, while the 3008 and 5008 have been more rigorously tested to over 300,000km. All three models are now selling in Malaysia.
Watch what Peugeot executives have to say in this 4-minute plus video clip.
