KUALA LUMPUR: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has presented the customer of its 100,000th unit Triton pick-up truck with 100,000km of diesel fuel worth RM27,000.
Solar panel installation contractor Muhammad Faerus received his reward at Mitsubishi dealer EON Auto Mart outlet in Jalan Ampang here recently.
MMM CEO Shinya Ikeda said the Triton pick-up truck had been the foundation of Mitsubishi Motors’ business and over the years, had benefited customers with good handling, performance, safety and competitive pricing.
“Since the Triton was introduced in Malaysia, it has proven to be one of the favourite pick-up trucks in Malaysia with its rugged look, versatility and good handling.
“It is capable in the harshest of off-road conditions but also perfect as an everyday vehicle,” he said.
Last year, the Triton pick-up truck maintained a solid market share of 22% despite the pandemic and healthy competition from its rivals.
Some 9,268 units of the Triton were sold in 2021, representing a 34% growth compared with the previous year.
In conjunction with this 100,000th unit milestone, MMM is organising a 100,000 Triton Ambitions Contest open for all Triton customers.
All owners have to do is fill up a contest survey form and submit a photo in either one or all four categories:
> The Stylo King - owner’s most memorable leisure activity with the Triton
> Tough Champ - owner’s toughest experience with the Triton
> Extreme Adventurer - owner’s most memorable long-distance journey with the Triton
> Mod Hero - owner’s coolest modified Triton
A winner from each of the above categories will win 25,000km diesel worth up to RM7,000 each.
