PETALING JAYA: The recent 11th Hino Total Support (TS) contest saw finalists from 11 authorised dealers across Malaysia, who were selected after completing the preliminary round earlier this year.
The contest is an annual platform that promotes excellence, teamwork, and customer-focused service among Hino’s nationwide dealer network.
The final round saw the finalists showcasing their skills and teamwork.
The event aims to strengthen dealer competency and uphold Hino’s two core values, which are ‘Providing Best-fit Products’ and ‘Total Support’ to customers.

The Hino Total Support (TS) contest has become a cornerstone of Hino Malaysia’s dealer development programme.
It provides a structured environment for dealer staff to demonstrate their knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills through theory assessments, role-play simulations, and practical tests.
The 2025 edition was a tested the expertise of Hino dealers across five main categories: sales, service, spare parts, and customer success operations (CSO).
In the sales consultant category, participants explained the unique selling points of Hino vehicles, and showcased their ability to deliver compelling messages that inspire customer confidence.
In the service advisor category, participants addressed customer concerns about vehicle issues.
Their evaluations were based on how clearly and confidently they explain technical problems to customers while demonstrating empathy and excellent communication skills.
In the service technician category, participants worked on diagnosing and resolving issues with light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
This practical simulation tested their troubleshooting skills and ability to perform accurate and efficient repairs, and focused on real-world maintenance challenges.
In the parts category, practical activities included inventory management and using Hino’s system to ensure efficiency in customer service.
In the customer success operation (CSO) category, participants resolved customer complaints through role plays, and demonstrated empathy and communication skills.
The Hino TS contest 2025 also offered prizes that included cash incentives and an exclusive learning trip for selected winners.
The prizes for this year’s contest were valued at nearly RM100,000.
