Flooding in Kota Tinggi.— Bernama
KOTA TINGGI: A total of 12 federal and district roads here have been closed to all vehicles after they were immersed in floodwaters.
Johor Public Works, Infrastructure and Transportation Committee chairman Mohd Solihan Badri said the roads have been inundated in floodwaters of between 0.6m and 1.2m and are closed off for all types of vehicles.
“The affected roads are FT003 Jalan Kota Tinggi - Mersing at Kubu, Batu 16, and Risda, FT091 Jalan Kota Tinggi - Kluang, and FT099 Jalan Lok Heng - Mawai - Sungai Mas.
“Roads are also closed at J053 Tai Hong at KM3 and KM4.1, J245 Jalan Tun Sri Lanang, J224 Jalan Semanggar, J172 Jalan Mawai Lama, J178 Jalan Kampung Kelantan - Kampung Panti, and J90 Jalan Sungai Telor, ” he said in a statement today.
He added that the Public Works Department would continue to monitor the situation from time to time.
