QINGDAO, China: Chinese marque Weichai new energy commercial vehicle (Weichai NECV) continues its expansion in South America, with the recent shipment of 200 Landking light-duty and mini trucks to Chile.
Weichai NECV is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shandong Heavy Industry Group Co Ltd.
Weichai NECV's flagship Landking X7 series was unveiled earlier this year, and the range is offered in both new energy and traditional fuel versions.
"These products once again set industry standards in active safety technologies, electric powertrain systems, and luxury intelligent cabin design," said the company.
In a statement, Weichai NECV said its successful entry into Chile marks a new milestone in the company's global expansion and demonstrates the growing international recognition of its products, technology, and market strategy.
Weichai NECV provides configurations tailored to the situations of different regions while upgrading its product and technology platforms.
For instance, in South America, the company has implemented adaptive development by enhancing off-road capabilities, load-bearing capacity, and flexible configurations.
The company has also adjusted to local high-temperature, high-humidity environments and incorporated intelligent features including in-vehicle screen mirroring, in order to boost the global expansion of the Landking truck series.
