KUALA LUMPUR: Clean energy solutions provider Gentari, in collaboration with the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), has launched its first high-speed intercity EV (electric vehicle) charging hub at Petronas Penchala Link (Damansara-bound).
The initiative underscores LLM’s role in enabling smoother intercity travel.
The upgrade enhances the existing 24kW charger with a 200kW DC fast charger equipped with three nozzles.
With this upgrade, charging time would be reduced by 20 minutes, allowing users to gain more than 60% battery at a shorter stop.

As the only 200kW charger within a five-kilometre radius, it improves access to high-speed charging along this key Klang Valley corridor.
The initiative reflects LLM’s strategic corridor planning and commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s highway infrastructure for the EV era.
Through close collaboration, Gentari and LLM are evolving highways from interstate connectors into critical intercity EV infrastructure.
