TOYOTA CITY: Toyota will introduce the Crown Concept at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.

The concept blends the storied Crown tradition with its birth in 1955 and the innovation to be expected in the Crown in future.

The car was re-designed from scratch, and is based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. It has undergone trials at the world-famous Nürburgring circuit in Germany.

Toyota claimed the car has responsive handling performance, and driving stability is achieved in all types of road conditions. Automatic braking is standard.

The car is fitted with a Data Communication Module so that Toyota can gather car data in the background. Its ITS Connect technology enables the car to communicate with other cars and road infrastructure such as traffic lights.

The Crown Concept will go into series production by mid-2018.
