2023 Modenas Z650, Ninja 650 and Versys 650 introduced


SHAH ALAM: Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), has rolled out the 2023 re-branded models of the Z650, Ninja 650 and Versys 650 motorcycles.

These new models combine style, power, and versatility and offer riders unparalleled performance and thrilling experiences on the road.

The Z650, known for its aggressive styling and exhilarating performance, sets a new benchmark in the middleweight category.

Equipped with a 649cc parallel-twin engine, cranking out 50.2kW and 65.7Nm of torque, the motorcycle delivers an impressive blend of torque and responsiveness.

The Z650 boasts significant updates, including improved ergonomics.

The redesigned frame and revised riding position also ensured enhanced comfort and control for riders of all sizes.

In addition, its advanced electronics include a full-colour TFT display that provides clear visibility and multiple customisable riding modes such as Sport, Road, and Rain.

The updated suspension and improved chassis dynamics also contribute to precise handling and nimble manoeuvrability.

The Z650 comes with a recommended retail price (RRP) of RM34,500 for the Metallic Spark Black livery and RM35,200 for Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Grey/Ebony.

The Ninja 650 line-up is a favourite among sports bike enthusiasts and combines thrilling performance with everyday versatility.

Powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine, churning out 50.2kW and 64Nm of torque, it delivers exhilarating acceleration and exceptional fuel efficiency.

The latest model introduces several notable enhancements such as a refreshed design with aggressive lines, LED lighting, and a sharper front fairing, exuding a bold and unmistakable presence.

Riders can enjoy the convenience of smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki's Rideology app which enables access to vital riding information and sharing data.

The motorcycle also gets upgraded safety features such as the addition of ABS braking and traction control to ensure enhanced safety and stability during various riding conditions.

The Ninja 650 comes with an RRP of RM38,400 for the Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray trim and RM35,900 for Lime Green/Ebony.

Renowned for its versatility and adventure-ready performance, the Versys 650 continues to redefine the mid-weight adventure segment.

Powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine, pushing out 49kW and 61Nm of torque, the Versys 650 offers a perfect balance of power and agility.

The latest edition introduces an adjustable windscreen height for riders to minimise wind buffeting, optimise aerodynamics and enhance long-distance comfort.

It also features an upgraded suspension system, providing improved stability and a smoother ride over various terrains.

Its enhanced styling with redesigned bodywork and LED lighting, results in a more modern and aggressive appearance, capturing attention on and off-road.

The Versys 650 comes with an RRP of RM38,400 for the Metallic Spark Black look and RM39,100 for Candy Limegreen/Metallic Flat Spark Black.

Modenas chief executive officer Roslan Roskan said the company would continue to deliver on its promise to bring the latest Kawasaki motorcycles to the local market.

The new models will be available for purchase at authorised Kawasaki dealerships across Malaysia from the end of July.
