2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA updated; PHEV unit has more range

STUTTGART: Like the new 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB, the new GLA range gets an updated front and rear design, LED high performance headlights, an upgraded interior, and more extensive standard equipment.

While the four petrol and four diesel powertrain options are the same as the new 2024 GLB, there is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) GLA 250 e model.

The PHEV offers more power and electric range, with an improved high-voltage battery.

The output of the electric motor has increased by 5 kW to 80 kW, while the system power remains the same.

On the charging side, three options are still available: in addition to the 3.7 kW standard, the battery can now be charged with alternating current and up to 11 kW.

Also, the battery can be charged with direct current and up to 22 kW. This further reduces charging times.

The visualisation of the hybrid functions in the head unit is also updated.

Other updates for the equipment, safety, digital and comfort kit such as the latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) generation with intuitive operation and adaptive software, and upgraded Driving Assistance package, are similar to the new 2024 GLB.
