SHAH ALAM: Starting from July 19, test drives of the 2025 Proton X50 facelift at Proton outlets are offered.
The 2025 Proton X50 facelift has secured 5,000 bookings in just 10 days after order taking began on July 5.
In a statement, the national automaker said this represented a 50% take-up of the early bird offer consisting of a RM1,000 cash rebate, special edition Touch N Go card and an exclusive "Gempak!" deal, for the first 10,000 customers.
Proton Edar deputy CEO Zhang Qiang said, "Proton’s production team at Tanjong Malim have also worked hard to build up our stock levels to enable the delivery of cars to customers immediately after the launch."
"The target is to have at least 5,000 units ready for registration by the end of August," he added.

The 2025 X50 facelift features new styling both inside and out, upgraded ADAS Level 2 technology, a new engine, an upgraded IHU system with a large 14.6-inch screen, and for the first time ever, Malay voice recognition.
Offered in three variants – Executive, Premium and Flagship, the 2025 X50 facelift is powered by a new i-GT 1.5 TD engine mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Delivering 133kW (181PS) and 290Nm of torque, it can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 7.6 seconds – 0.3 seconds faster than the previous model, with a 4.7% improvement in efficiency, and delivering more performance with better fuel economy.
Malaysian powerhouse girl group De Fam will debut the music video of their specially composed single, “All-New Proton X50” during the launch event on the evening of July 24.
