KUALA LUMPUR: BYD Sime Motors has launched the 2026 BYD Sealion 7, featuring the all-new Dynamic variant alongside enhanced Premium and Performance models.
Retail prices for BYD's flagship D-segment electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) are RM163,800 (Dynamic); RM188,800 (Premium) and RM203,800 (Performance).
Regarding launch packages, Dynamic variant buyers get a free wallbox or can opt to save RM4,000 (special price: RM159,800 - limited to the first 300 Dynamic bookings in Malaysia).
Both the Premium and Performance variants come with a free wallbox and overtrade bonus (RM3,888 for Premium and RM2,888 for Performance).
The warranty coverage includes a six-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000km high-voltage blade battery warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000km drive unit warranty.
Free accessories include a vehicle-to-load (V2L) adapter, and a Type 2 charging cable with three pin-plug.
BYD Sime Motors will be hosting the Beyond Your Drive Roadshow at GF Luxe (Near Parkson), 1 Utama Shopping Centre, from July 30 to August 2, 2026, daily from 10am to 10pm.
Customers who book any BYD vehicle during the roadshow will receive RM200 charging credits as a special booking reward.
Built on BYD's advanced e-Platform 3.0, all variants are equipped with BYD's renowned Blade Battery technology, a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and intelligent connectivity features.
The new Dynamic variant features a rear-wheel-drive configuration, and delivers 170kW of power, 380Nm of torque, a driving range of 520km (NEDC) and 0–100kph acceleration in 7.3 seconds.
The enhanced Premium variant now features a larger 91.39kWh BYD Blade Battery, up from 82.56 kWh previously.
As a result, driving range has increased from 567km to 650km (NEDC).
DC fast charging capability has also been upgraded from 150kW to 230kW, enabling shorter charging stops.
The AWD (all-wheel drive) Performance variant combines exhilarating acceleration with everyday usability.
Producing 390kW of power and 690Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0–100kph in just 4.5 seconds while delivering up to 600km (NEDC) of driving range.
The variant features a 91.39kWh BYD Blade Battery, 230kW DC fast charging capability, distinctive red brake calipers and larger 245/45 R20 wheels.
Meanwhile, the enhanced Premium variant now introduces the new Ultraviolet exterior colour.
All variants come standard with a Black interior.
Since its debut in 2024, the Sealion 7 has established itself as Malaysia's top D-segment electric SUV in 2025, with more than 6,300 units delivered.
