SYDNEY: The 2026 Ford Ranger Hybrid will arrive in Australia in a new entry level XL variant, and updated Sport and Wildtrak models.
The first vehicles are expected to arrive in the third quarter of 2026.
Ford says the all-new XL as the entry variant, brings the Ranger Hybrid to a broader group of customers than ever before with a more accessible price point and a well-equipped standard specification.
The XL variant rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with all-season tyres, comes with a drop-in bedliner as standard, and is equipped with a 12.4-inch digital instrumentation cluster, 12-inch infotainment touchscreen and dual-zone climate control with rear air vents.
There are also Intelligent Cruise Control with Stop & Go, steel underbody protection and halogen headlamps with daytime running lamps.
At the heart of the Ranger Hybrid is a powertrain that pairs a 2.3-litre EcoBoost petrol engine and 10-speed automatic modular hybrid transmission with a 75kW electric motor fed by an 11.8kWh usable battery.
Together, they deliver 207kW (281PS) of combined power and 697Nm of torque.
And for those who need to work as hard as they play, it offers a maximum braked towing capacity of 3,500kg.
Meanwhile, the Sport variant is the all-rounder of the Ranger Hybrid range.
On the outside, 18-inch alloy wheels and all-season tyres, a sports bar, side steps, LED headlamps with daytime running lamps and puddle lamps give it a purposeful, confident presence.
Inside, leather-accented seats, wireless charging, power adjust and fold mirrors and an electrochromatic mirror, volumetric and perimeter alarm round out a thoroughly practical package.
For 2026, the Sport variant takes a meaningful step forward with a 12.4-inch instrumentation cluster – up from eight inches – joined by a 360-degree camera, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, and Auto High Beam.
At the top of the Ranger Hybrid range, the Wildtrak has Matrix LED headlamps with auto levelling and dynamic bending, 18-inch alloy wheels with all-season tyres, a Power Roller Shutter and Pro Trailer Backup Assist.
Step inside and the premium intent is immediately apparent: heated seats for both the driver and front passenger, a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system with 10 speakers, ambient lighting, leather-accented seating create a cabin that feels genuinely first-class.
For 2026, the Wildtrak also gains the upgraded 12.4-inch instrumentation cluster and a new hero colour, Ignite Orange.
