Reaching a significant milestone with more than 24,000 Rangers on Malaysian roads since the model was introduced in 2022, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion managing director Turse Zuhair said the next-generation Ford Ranger has undoubtedly become a true Malaysian favourite.
"This demonstrates the trust and confidence customers have in the Ranger’s capabilities. This trust has been built on Ford’s relentless focus on quality, which was recently recognised when Ford was named the No.1 mainstream automotive brand in the 2026 J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study.
“As customer expectations continue to evolve, we are expanding the Ranger family to offer vehicles that deliver the ideal balance of toughness, advanced technology and premium comfort. Through Ford's Ready, Set, Ford philosophy, we aim to empower customers to feel ready for anything – whether it is supporting their businesses, connecting with family or pursuing their next adventure,” he added.

Aside from the introduction of the Rangers, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion announced it has also established a new parts hub in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in its effort to strengthen after-sales support in East Malaysia.
With customers across East Malaysia now having easier access to genuine Ford parts and timely servicing, the facility is an extension of the existing central parts hub in Shah Alam, Selangor.
The new facility will commence phased operations starting July 27. It serves as a key enhancement to Ford’s aftersales infrastructure in East Malaysia and will carry an initial inventory of approximately 1,000 fast-moving genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts, including maintenance, wear-and-tear and accident repair components.
Supporting authorised Ford dealerships across East Malaysia, the new hub is expected to significantly reduce parts lead times, with selected fast-moving parts available for same day delivery within the Kota Kinabalu area. This will enable faster repairs, improve workshop efficiency and deliver a seamless ownership experience.

In all, operations are backed by a network of 33 authorised Ford dealer locations nationwide with Auto ConneXion-Ford providing customers with access to Ford sales, servicing and support across major cities and smaller communities throughout Malaysia.
This includes nine authorised Ford sales and service touchpoints across East Malaysia that comprises of seven dealerships and two dedicated service-only centres, with service support extended to communities in Kapit and Mukah, Sarawak.
The 2026 Ranger line-up is now available for booking at authorised Ford dealerships nationwide with Peninsular Malaysia prices (on-the-road, without insurance) starting from RM205,888 for the Ranger Platinum, RM159,888 for the Ranger Sport 3.0L, RM145,888 for the Ranger Sport 2.0L and RM127,888 for the Ranger XL.
