LONDON: Kia has unveiled the new 2026 Stonic, in a major overhaul of the brand’s popular urban crossover.
Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy transforms the new Stonic into a bolder, more expressive crossover.
The new Stonic mostly maintains its compact dimensions.
The only exception is its length, which has been extended by 25mm due to its re-sculpted front and rear bumpers.
Additionally, the front fascia introduces several changes, including Kia’s Star Map Signature Lighting, more prominent and structured front and lower grilles, and an updated front fender.
The redesign continues through the rear, featuring a new tailgate layout, taillight signature, an updated skid plate, and a cleaner rear bumper form.

These aesthetic changes are complemented by new wheel options across the range, including 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels exclusively for the sportier ‘GT-Line’ trim.
The exterior palette has been updated with two expressive colours: Adventurous Green and Yacht Blue.
The new Stonic offers a 1.0 T-GDI petrol engine with 100PS.
Alternatively, customers can opt for a 115PS mild-hybrid (MHEV) version.
Both powertrains are available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In the interior, a brand-new feature is the panoramic dual display layout.
The two high-resolution 12.3-inch screens merge infotainment and vehicle information, setting a new benchmark for B-segment crossovers.
The Multimode Touch Display allows the driver to toggle between climate settings and infotainment menus with ease.
The cabin also introduces new two-spoke and three-spoke steering wheel designs, a re-sculpted gear knob and centre console, and an updated dashboard design.
Interior enhancements, such as USB-C fast charging ports, wireless smartphone charging, and ambient lighting, provide a more refined in-car experience.

Equipped with Kia Connect, the model offers cloud-based services and real-time vehicle diagnostics.
Drivers can remotely monitor, control, and interact with their vehicle via the Kia App.
The Digital Key allows drivers to unlock and start the vehicle using a supported smartphone or smartwatch.
An expanded suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA), Safe Exit Warning (SEW), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5 (FCA 1.5), Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist (HDA) and Lane Following Assist (LFA).
