SHAH ALAM: The all-electric Proton e.MAS 7 sees a drop in prices with local assembly, and is now tagged at RM103,800 (Prime) and RM119,800 (Premium) on-the-road without insurance.
This is compared with price tags of RM109,800 (Prime) and RM123,800 (Premium) when the C-segment electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) was launched in December 2024.
Meanwhile, the locally produced 2026 e.MAS 7 has also been updated with enhanced features.
On the Prime variant, a powered tailgate has been added - this allows drivers to open and close the boot with a button press or key fob command.
On the Premium variant, there are three ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) upgrades:
- Evasive Manoeuvre Assist (EMA): Helps the driver steer around obstacles during emergency situations, reducing collision risk.
- Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA): Warns the driver of vehicles approaching from the sides at intersections, improving visibility and reaction time.
- Active Lane Change Assist (ALCA): Supports safe lane changes by monitoring blind spots and automatically adjusting steering if necessary.
Also, for a limited time, buyers of the locally produced 2026 e.MAS 7 will get a Welcome Benefit offer with RM4,000 rebate, which lowers the price tags further to RM99,800 (Prime) and RM115,800 (Premium).
For a limited time, the promotion package includes Power Home (free 7kW home charger worth RM1,500); Power Plus (free V2L or vehicle-to-load adaptor worth RM500); Power Online (five-year unlimited Internet data worth RM1,800); Power Thru (six-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and eight-year/160,000km high voltage battery and component warranty) and Power Exchange (exclusive Proton owner trade-in rebate worth RM5,000).
