SHAH ALAM: The 2026 Proton S70 sporty sedan has been unveiled, and it's powered by an i-GT 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT).
On-the-road prices without insurance are RM94,800 (Flagship X); RM89,800 (Flagship); RM79,800 (Premium) and RM73,800 (Executive).
Proton is offering a Special Launch package to the first 2,000 customers who register their 2026 Proton S70 by March 31, 2026.

Producing 181PS and 290Nm of torque, it can reach 0–100kph in 7.5 seconds, while maintaining fuel efficiency of 5.7 litres per 100km.
The enhanced powertrain calibration is said to deliver smoother gear shifts and lower running costs.
Jointly developed with Proton’s global partner Geely, the powertrain incorporates low-inertia turbocharging, friction and vibration reduction technologies and durability testing to deliver reliability, fuel efficiency and reduced engine’s noise, vibration and harshness (NVH).
Proton’s in-house ride and handling tuning, enhanced Electronic Stability Control (ESC) software and selectable drive modes further contribute to a composed and enjoyable driving experience.
The 2026 S70 features refreshed exterior styling that reinforces its sporty yet premium appeal.
Updates include a new headlamp design, new 17-inch alloy wheel design, a distinctive rear LED tail-light bar with rhythmic lighting, and a new aerokit design that is available as standard for the top Flagship X variant.

Inside, the cabin adopts a modern black interior theme with refined materials, silver-trim illuminated window switches, and thoughtful design touches.
A 12.3-inch floating infotainment head unit with Full HD resolution now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, complemented by Proton’s intuitive “Hi Proton” voice command.
There are also five USB ports (including Type-C), wireless charger, and onboard data connectivity.
The 2026 S70 is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) Level 2, comprising 13 intelligent safety features.
These include Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive and Intelligent Cruise Control (ACC and ICC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Intelligent High Beam Control (IHBC).
Additional safety features include a high-resolution 360-degree camera with 3D display, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and a suite of passive safety systems.

“With meaningful upgrades in performance, connectivity, and styling, the S70 delivers intelligence that evolves with our customers – offering confidence, value, and enjoyment every day,” said Proton deputy CEO Datuk Abdul Rashid Musa.

The after-sales package includes Pro-Warranty, offering a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage and six times free labour service, alongside Pro-Connect, which provides a five-year data package with 2GB per month.
In addition, Pro-Finance offers financing options of up to nine years, with interest rates starting from 2.25% per annum, plus Pro-Xchange which provides RM4,000 support for the deregistration of non-roadworthy trade-in vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Proton Insurance Programme, Pro-Shield, provides upgraded protection including Special Perils coverage, enhanced flood relief coverage of up to RM2,000, and passenger personal accident coverage of up to RM15,000 per person up to four passengers.
These come on top of the existing insurance benefits such as betterment waiver up to 10 years, agreed-value protection, all-driver coverage, key replacement, personal accident coverage for policyholder, and 24-hour roadside assistance.
For the 2026 S70, Fast Service is available for scheduled basic maintenance, allowing customers who book in advance and remain on-site to have their vehicles serviced efficiently with minimal waiting time.
