KUALA LUMPUR: Volvo Malaysia's fully electric 7-seater flagship sports utility vehicle (eSUV) has been given a new price as part of its 2026 update.
Available for viewing at all authorised dealers nationwide starting today, the locally assembled (CKD) EX90 is now priced from RM428,888 without insurance.
The new price is at least RM14,000 less than it was previously valued at RM442,888.
Accompanying the new price is an early-bird launch offer of RM25,000 in cash rebate and a Volvo Wallbox worth RM3,990 for the first 100 units booked.

Updated, the 2026 EX90 now runs on a new 800-volt architecture for faster charging and is accompanied by new advanced features.
The upgraded 800-volt electric system with a 350kW DC charging capacity (80% in 22 minutes) is paired with a twin motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) powertrain to deliver 680hp and 870Nm of torque - allowing the EX90 to achieve a 0-100kph sprint in just 4.2 seconds.
Its 106-kWh battery then offers up to 617km of electric driving range in a single charge.
The upgraded architecture is said to not only reduce overall weight and heat generation during charging but also improves sustainability through a lower copper dependency while delivering more power for faster acceleration.

Managing the system is Volvo’s latest Nvidia Drive AGX Orin-based core computing with Superset tech stack built on top for ultra-fast delivery of over-the-air software updates.
It manages functionalities such as active safety features, car sensors, and efficient battery management, in addition to the information across its 9-inch driver display, 14.5-inch centre display and head-up display.
Said infotainment system comes with built-in Google Services including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and access to a wide range of apps via Google Play Store.
Adding to the eSUV's immersive and refined experience is a Bowers and Wilkins High Fidelity audio system.

It is also an integral part of Volvo’s suite of latest active safety system also known as Safe Space Technology - a seamless, highly responsive sensor setup comprised of radars, sensors and ultrasonic sensors that work in tandem for real-time, high-precision view of the surroundings during the drive.
Inside the model is a standard-setting of two IR sensors that make up an intuitive Driver Understanding System to help detect distraction and impairment and, combined with external sensor data, gauges the driver’s state of mind and intervenes when necessary.
Additionally, interior radars make up a full-cabin Occupant Sensing System that can sense submillimetre scale movements such as the soft breathing of a life - this is to ensure that no loved one is left behind.
The evolved flagship SUV is also equipped with Volvo’s latest advanced driver assistance systems, which also include the next-generation Pilot Assist and Park Pilot Assist.

Cabin that comes in either in Charcoal Nappa leather with Light Ash decor or Cardamom Nappa leather with Brown Ash is also fitted with an advanced electrochromic roof.
Now open for booking, the 2026 EX90 is available in either Onyx Black, Sand Dune, Crystal White, Vapour Grey, or Mulberry Red.
Customers can configure their vehicle and place an order online or visit their nearest Volvo retailer.

In addition to the launch of the evolved EX90, Volvo's ES90 is also getting an update for model year 2027.
It introduces two exterior colour offerings in Mulberry and Aurora Silver, an additional premium 'Cardamom' interior room, 21-inch rim wheels featuring a new Glossy-Silver option, and wireless Android Auto compatibility.
Early bookings are entitled to cash rebates up to RM17,600 and can be made as early as this month.
