KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz is commemorating its century and four decades-long history in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend.
From May 30-31, models throughout the German marque's years and beyond will be on exhibit at the “140 Places. 140 Years.” event held at the House of Mercedes-Benz in KLCC Square.
Key highlights include an exclusive showcase of classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles and high-performance Mercedes-AMG models, as well as the first look at the new S-Class.

Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, was present at the venue to receive the arrival of the S-Class.
The three new S-Class sedans are on a global drive covering more than 50,000km across six continents.
After Malaysia, the units will continue their drive to Singapore.
Encompassing more than 50% or around 2,700 newly developed or re-engineered components, the 2027 S-Class is highlighted by a 20% larger illuminated grille, its Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) supercomputer and immersive MBUX Superscreen, as well as the brand's trademark AIRMATIC air suspension.



Visitors to the event will also have a rare opportunity to view the Mercedes MGP W01, the car that marked the first Formula 1 collaboration between Petronas and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, up close.
Martin Schulz who is Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia chief executive office and president as well as Mercedes-Benz Cars Southeast Asia's region head commented that the 140 Years of Innovation for the brand is a testament to what happens when passion, precision, and purpose come together and not just a milestone.
