The HJC i90 polycarbonate flip-up helmet is a simple touring helmet which comes with internal sun visor, pinlock anti-fog layer for the visor, chin curtain, enlarged visor for greater visibility and glasses cutouts in the liner.
This helmet is also perfect for daily commuting.
HJC has ensured smooth opening and closure of the helmet( flip-up) and not forgetting the visor and sun visor is super easy to manage while riding at any speed.
This polycarbonate helmet weighs at 1.7kg which is not much heavier than the premium HJC RHPA 90S, which is 150gm heavier.
This is a decent weight by my standard and I did not feel any pressure on the head or neck during my ride.
Its SuperCool moisture wicking liner system, air-flow ventilation system and an internal sun visor kept me comfortable on my 2,500km ride under hot weather.
A special groove along the temple is able to accommodate my glasses which is good news for riders who have bad eyesight without their spectacles.
The front vents, one on the chin and one above the forehead, are well integrated and easy to operate with a gloved hand.
While riding on the highway between 100kph-120kph, there is very little intrusion of wind/outside noise.
A quiet helmet is very important especially on a long ride where one can enjoy the ride rather being irritated by outside sounds.
