KUALA LUMPUR: Aeson Power marks its official entry into the Malaysian market with the launch of its range of sodium-ion automotive batteries.
The company's NaPulse Starting, NaPulse Start-Stop and NaForce Start-Stop Sodium-ion batteries are now available for purchase at a starting price as low as RM369 and come with a 3-year warranty - compared to traditional 1-year warranty for lead-acid batteries.
Aeson Power said its battery series are designed to be compatible with more than 95% of vehicles on the market.

Globally they are readily available in various markets as replacements for conventional MF, EFB, and AGM batteries.
At the core of Aeson Power’s sodium-ion automotive batteries is its polyanion cathode material technology.
In essence the batteries offer a combination of advantages over lead-acid batteries such as lighter weight construction, ultra-fast charging (as fast as 0% to 100% in 40 minutes), high-rate discharge for powerful starts, extended cycle life, a wide operating temperature range, ultra-low self-discharge, and strong vibration resistance.

They are also highly resilient to over-discharge with the ability to recover rapidly even when fully discharged to zero volts.
The brand's sodium-ion automotive batteries are said to also offer up to three times the cycle life of traditional lead-acid batteries, along with minimal degradation at high temperatures.
Its ultra-low internal resistance gives it a starting performance that of two to three times greater than that of lead-acid, and peak current in the first 0.3 seconds exceeding three times that of lead-acid.
Durability and adaptability-wise their wide operating voltage range (6–14V) allows vehicles to start even at 10.5V - compared to lead-acid batteries that typically fail below 12V.
