BANGKOK: GAC's all-electric AION UT was recently unveiled in Thailand, with two variants — Standard and Premium.
The Chinese automaker pointed out that earlier at this year's Bangkok International Motor Show, the AION UT had attracted over 4,500 orders.
Earlier in June, the AION UT, GAC's global strategic model, had made its regional debut in Hong Kong.
Designed by GAC's Milan Design Center, it features a bold aesthetic, spacious cabin, and AI voice assistant.
Meeting both Chinese and European five-star safety standards, the AION UT will also go on sale in Hong Kong later this year.
The Aion UT had started presales in China in January 2025.

A report by carnewschina.com noted that the AION UT is 145mm longer, 80mm wider and 5mm higher than the BYD Dolphin.
GAC officials said that the Aion UT has the roomiest interior space in the class.
The Aion UT offers a single permanent magnet synchronous e-motor with a peak power of 100kW (134hp).
According to carnewschina.com, it is powered by a 44kWh LFP battery pack, good for 420km of range.
The top speed of the Aion UT is 150kph. It can charge from 30 to 80% in 24 minutes.
