HONG KONG: In April 2026, the all-electric Aion V family SUV (sport utility vehicle) saw a 179% year-over-year increase in global sales, continuing its strong growth momentum.
The Aion V is now available in countries and regions including Hong Kong (China), Thailand, Singapore, and Australia, with plans to enter markets such as the UK, Spain, and France in the near future.
In the J.D. Power 2026 China New Energy Vehicle Product Appeal Index (NEV-APEAL) study, the Aion V achieved a score of 837 points, ranking first in the compact battery electric SUV segment.
The study focuses on real-world vehicle ownership experiences between two and six months, measuring owner satisfaction and appeal across dimensions such as driving, charging, and intelligence.
Designed to meet five-star safety standards, it is equipped with the advanced Magazine Battery 2.0 technology and a class-leading 2.3-meter ultra-long side curtain airbag.
The model has also received the highest five-star safety ratings from both Euro NCAP and ANCAP.
In the UK, pre-orders for the Aion V started in late April.
In the UK, the Aion V has a 75.3kWh LFP battery which gives 317 miles (510km) of range – class-leading for a standard-fit battery – and can charge from 30-80 percent in a class-leading 18 minutes.
As standard, the Aion V includes a full-length panoramic roof, double-glazed front windows, and multi-shade ambient lighting; electrically-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats and heated reclining rear seats; wireless smartphone charging and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay; a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by the latest ultra-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, with permanent soft keys for instant access to climate, seating and volume buttons; a virtual assistant offering zonal voice control of key settings and functions; and a nine-speaker 360-watt premium audio system.
Practicality and versatility are built-in, with wide opening doors, smart tailgate opening, a three-tier boot system that can swallow up to 472 litres of cargo (rear seats up, VDA standard), and even a Lounge mode for chaise-longue seating.
A Premium Pack adds leather seating, a 6.6-litre CoolHot Box, massage front seats, and a sturdy rear seatback tray table.
