KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Group Malaysia has received 64 pre-booking registrations for the all-electric BMW iX, coinciding with the 64th Merdeka Day on Aug 31.
Pre-booking of the iX xDrive40 and iX xDrive40 Sport was made available on the BMW Shop Online platform via https://shop.bmw.com.my/ at a fee of RM5,000 on Aug 26.
BMW Group Malaysia managing director Hans de Visser said the company was pleased to see Malaysians take a bold step in choosing sustainable mobility as part of their lifestyle, which underlines BMW's belief that the future is in fact electric.
“We have long committed to shape the future of mobility in the country, and we will confidently continue to cultivate the shift towards electromobility further by accelerating the availability of charging infrastructures in Malaysia and rapidly expanding the BMW i dealer network in key cities nationwide,” said de Visser.

Now, the first 100 customers to pre-book the iX will get an exclusive pre-booking advantage, consisting of a Complimentary Charging Installation and a Complimentary one-year Public Charging Access, available until Sept 22.
With the Balloon Financing Plan from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the iX xDrive40 and iX xDrive40 Sport can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM4,888 and RM5,478 respectively (based on estimates of an 80% loan on a five-year tenure).
The full electric vehicle prides itself as a minimalist living space on wheels, offering sheer comfort on every journey–featuring first-of-its-kind Shy Tech concept which allows modern technology and innovation in the vehicle to discreetly blend in the background until needed or explicitly desired.
