KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the all-new CLA 250+ and this fully electric fastback offers up to 792km of WLTP range.
Priced on-the-road without insurance at RM274,888 that comes with a four-year manufacturer's warranty, and customers have the alternative of opting for the Agility+ financing plan that starts from RM2,988 a month.
This includes a fifth-year extended limited warranty, four Compact Service Packages and Guaranteed Future Value.

For early birds, the first 100 customers who pre-book the CLA or electric GLC will receive passes to an upcoming exclusive Mercedes-AMG F1 Party.
The CLA 250+ electric is offered in AMG Line specification and comes with 19-inch AMG five-twin-spoke alloy wheels as well as colour options that include Polar White, Cosmos Black, Spectral Blue, High-Tech Silver, Patagonia Red and Mountain Grey.
The model's styling includes a low-slung fastback profile, shark-nose front end and an illuminated Mercedes-Benz pattern grille that features the large three-pointed star surrounded by 142 chrome-effect stars, all while being flanked by the Multibeam LED headlights that have the brand's star-shaped daytime running lights.

At the rear, the star-shaped LED tail-lights are connected by a continuous light band to give the CLA a distinctive appearance.
Power comes from a rear-mounted electric drive unit producing 200kW (272hp) and 335Nm, allowing the CLA 250+ electric to accelerate from zero to 100kph in 6.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 210kph.
A key feature is its two-speed transmission, unusual in this segment.

The first gear provides stronger acceleration and efficiency in urban driving, while the second is designed to improve efficiency and refinement at higher speeds.
The car has a 85kWh usable battery and an 800-volt electrical architecture, allowing for a WLTP range rated between 673km and 792km, depending on conditions and equipment.
Using a fast 320kW DC charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 22 minutes - charging it for 10 minutes here will help provide up to 325km of range.

Meanwhile, an 11kW AC charger will take about nine hours for a full charge.
Inside, the highlight is the MBUX Superscreen, combining a 10.25-inch driver display with two 14-inch screens for the central and front passenger areas.
The system runs on Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), allowing over-the-air updates and integrating infotainment, vehicle functions, charging and driving assistance.
The fourth-generation MBUX system also features a virtual assistant using artificial intelligence from Google and Microsoft.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, while wireless smartphone charging and a 5G communication module are included.
The cabin gets AMG Line sports seats finished in Artico man-made leather and Microcut microfibre, a Nappa leather multifunction sports steering wheel, ambient lighting, panoramic roof and Thermotronic automatic climate control.
The CLA 250+ electric also comes with MB.DRIVE, 360-degree parking assistance, Vision Control, Keyless-Go and a range of active and passive safety systems.

The unit also gets a centre airbag as standard.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia chief operating officer Nadia Trimmel said the CLA marked an important step in the company's electric vehicle strategy.
Meanwhile, the company has also opened pre-bookings for the facelifted S-Class and all-new electric GLC, with the latter expected to be priced between RM370,000 and RM400,000.
