KUALA LUMPUR: The all-electric Wuling Bingo compact hatchback is slated to be launched in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2025, following a media preview by Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd at the company's assembly plant in Segambut.
Tan Chong Motor will launch the TQ Wuling brand in Malaysia, via a partnership with SAIC GM Wuling Automobile Co Ltd (SGM Wuling), a leading Chinese automotive company known for producing electric cars, plug-in hybrids, internal combustion models, along with people-movers and commercial vehicles.
In a statement, Tan Chong Motor said it aims to price the TQ Wuling Bingo at a competitive price point of below RM100,000.
The partnership was formalised at the media preview, which was officiated by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
"Our goal is to position the TQ Wuling brand as a preferred brand for value-driven and urban drivers,” said Tan Chong Motor group CEO Daniel Ho.
He added that by producing the vehicles locally, the collaboration with SGM Wuling will contribute to the local economy.

The car was launched in Indonesia in 2023, where it is marketed as Binguo EV.
The base Long Range variant's starting price is 301 million rupiah (RM76,949), and is fitted with a 31.9kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, and offers up to 333km of range.
