KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia feted three owners of the all-new Honda Prelude who shared a distinctive bond with the iconic sports coupe.
The appreciation event highlighted how the latest Prelude continues to inspire emotional connections while delivering the joy of driving in the electrified era to Gan Ker Beng, Wahiduzaman Abu Kashim, and Dr Davina Navreet Kaur.
Gan, who has a long history with Honda, said he had his eye on the Prelude in the 1990s even while his first Honda was a Civic then.
"It was my dream car when I was younger, but I could not afford one then.
"So, when Honda announced the return of the Prelude to Malaysia, I knew I wanted to own one," said the entrepreneur from Johor Bahru.

He said owning a Prelude finally felt like a dream come true.
"For me, it is not about how fast the car can go or its performance figures, it is the Prelude name, the memories I have with it, and my connection with Honda over the years that make this car special to me," said Gan who is among the first owners of the model.
Kuala Lumpur-based businessman Wahiduzaman, who is also a long-time Honda enthusiast, has owned several Honda performance models over the years.

"As my lifestyle evolved, I was looking for a car that strikes the perfect balance between driving enjoyment and everyday comfort, and I knew the Prelude was the one!" he said.
He said he enjoyed the Prelude's driver-focused character and uncompromised comfort.
"The S+ Shift Technology allows me to fully immerse myself in an engaging driving experience, giving me a sharp gear-shifting feel whenever I want a more exhilarating drive," he said.
Dr Davina said she always admired classic Preludes in her Subang neighbourhood during growing up days.
"Owning a red coupe has also been a dream of mine since I was a teenager, and as a huge fan of Honda’s hybrid technology, the moment the Prelude was launched, I immediately fell in love and placed a booking right away, without a test drive," the endodontist said.

Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Narushi Yazaki said the return of the iconic Prelude nameplate is a declaration of Honda’s spirit.
"Each of them has a unique story that led them to the All-New Prelude.
"We sincerely thank our customers for placing their trust in Honda Malaysia and look forward to accompanying them as they create unforgettable memories with the All-New Prelude," he said.
Representing the perfect balance between Honda’s performance heritage and electrified technology, the latest Prelude delivers an exhilarating driving experience and continues the proud legacy of an iconic Honda model across generations.
