All-new Mitsubishi Triton open for booking ahead of launch
By CARSIFU | 01 October 2024KUALA LUMPUR: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has opened order-taking for the sixth-generation Triton pick-up truck slated for launch later this month.
The all-new Triton comes in five variants and bodystyles of double cab and single cab.
The Triton is estimated from RM170,000 for the range-topper Triton Athlete, and RM102,000 for the newly-introduced Triton Single Cab.
In continuation with the “Drive Your Ambition Brand Festival”, MMM is offering an exclusive 60-litre folding storage box worth RM450 as an early bird gift for the first 500 customers who place a booking for the new Triton via the Mitsubishi Online Showroom.
Among the key features are:
> Elevated Robust Styling - The all-new Triton comes with a Beast Mode design language. A sporty interior offering excellent functionality and operability.
> Upgraded Performance - A new 2.4-litre two-stage turbo engine achieves both higher output (204PS) and 470Nm of torque.
> Beefed-up body size - The Triton now comes with a bigger body size compared to the previous model. A newly developed mega-frame chassis that provides durability and reliability.
> Excellent Ride Comfort - Newly developed suspension that provides excellent ride comfort and steering stability. Super Select 4WD-II system and upgraded 7-drive modes that achieve high road performance.
> Improved Safety - The all-new Triton now comes with Active Yaw Control which helps control slippery roads and a significantly improved safety with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This system includes various features designed to enhance safety and driving comfort for various purposes, from business to personal use.
> SUV-Inspired Comforts - Comes with SUV-inspired interior comforts such as a wireless charging dock, Apple Car Play and Android Auto ready, and versatile storage compartments.
The Triton Single Cab is equipped with a 2.4L clean and efficient engine and a best-in-class 184PS and 430Nm of torque.
The Triton Single Cab also comes with the largest cargo deck in the segment with a length of 2,340mm and width of 1,580mm.
MMM chief executive officer Shinya Ikeda said Mitsubishi Motors has produced some 5.6 million pick-up trucks spanning five generations over 45 years since its first launch in 1978.
"With a record of sales in 150 countries, the pick-up truck is a global strategic vehicle for Mitsubishi Motors.
"Now in its sixth generation, the all-new Triton is fully redesigned from the exterior and interior to the chassis, ladder frame, and engine," he said.
