KUALA LUMPUR: As Malaysia and the region heads into the monsoon season, a topical response comes from Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Bhd  that will hook public attention.

Allianz General is touting its ability to settle flood claims fast if you and your cars have been affected.

During this time, Allianz General customers can call 1-800-22-5542 for towing assistance (motor comprehensive policyholders) or to expedite claims for those with home or commercial insurance.

“Our fast claims initiative has one goal – to reach out to our customers as fast as we can and provide them with quick financial relief," said Allianz General claims chief Damian Williams.

"It is about being there for our customers during the worst of times. So, for this special initiative, we are extending our towing assistance to all motor comprehensive policyholders without flood cover extensions.”

As part of the special initiative, the company has all 250 Allianz Road Rangers tow trucks nationwide on standby to facilitate towing services and is ready to mobilise it flood claims assets including seven Allianz-branded 4x4 pick-up trucks, a claims caravan, and a team of nationwide adjusters to accelerate investigations to ensure a swift claims settlement.

The meteorological department expects this year's monsoon season to run from November until March 2023.
