By CARSIFU | 02 May 2024KUALA LUMPUR: Tesla has launched its first V4 Supercharging stations in South-East Asia at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya and IOI Mall, Puchong, Selangor.
The two locations will have a total of eight V4 Superchargers and two AC Destination chargers.
The V4 Superchargers are equipped with a longer cable to provide easy access for all Tesla electric vehicles.
The V4 Supercharging station currently supports peak rates of up to 250kW per vehicle and allows the Model 3 Long Range to recharge up to a range of 282km in 15 minutes.
The V4 units are also future-proofed to allow for updates and new features.
The pay-per-use Supercharging fee makes Tesla’s charging become one of the most cost-efficient charging methods in the market, at a rate of RM1.25/kWh.
As of today, Tesla in Malaysia has opened ten Supercharging stations (48 Superchargers) and 11 Destination Charging stations (57 chargers) in Malaysia.
The company is committed to keep expanding the charging network to provide more extensive coverage in the country.
Tesla also said its stainless steel-clad Cybertruck is now available for viewing at Tesla Pavilion Damansara Heights Experience Centre.
The public are welcome to visit and take a closer look of this futuristic Tesla electric pick-up truck.
