KUALA LUMPUR: The much anticipated Aprilia Shiver 900 is in Malaysia now.

The sports naked bike is the first new Aprilia model to be launched by current official distributor of Aprilia motorcycles, Didi Resources Sdn Bhd.

The Shiver 900 was unveiled by company director Goh Kian Sin and general manager Juan Chow Wee at a recent Chinese New Year dinner gathering for the media and its business partners.



Speaking at the launch, Goh said the previous Shiver model was positively received by Malaysian enthusiasts and the company believed the latest incarnation in the form of Shiver 900 would also be well received.

“We have given our commitment since taking over the Aprilia distributorship to deliver more value in terms of lifestyle activation, aftersales and parts centres nationwide,” Goh said.

The Shiver 900, featuring a 896cc engine with 95.2hp and 90Nm of torque, is a non-conventional sports naked bike which is bound to attract the younger audience.

This new model, fully imported from Italy, also offers ride-by-wire throttle and three riding modes of sport, touring and rain.

It also has traction control with three levels of settings and dual-channel ABS.

Priced at RM67,680 (before SST), the Shiver 900 can be viewed at The Gasket Alley, Petaling Jaya; Welly World Cycle Sungai Buloh and Sheng Fatt Sdn Bhd Penang.
