LONDON: Aston Martin has continued its partnership with British motorcycle manufacturer Brough Superior to create their first road-legal motorcycle, a dark, angular and glossy two-wheeler that would not look out of place in a Batman film.
The new AMB 002 Roadster follows on from track-only AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro superbikes to broaden the pair's range while offering riders the chance to take one of their bikes to the road.
Limited to just 300 units, the AMB 002 Roadster is said to offer a "lightweight, razor-sharp" experience inspired by Aston Martin's cars.
The side strake found on the manufacturer's sports cars, for instance, runs through the bike's side fairing, while the twin-oval exhausts are similar in design to those on the Vanquish and DBX S.
The rear light "blades" look similar to those on the Vulcan and Valkyrie while a backlit start button and hand-stitched leather seat pads add some extra luxury.
Marek Reichman, executive vice president and chief creative officer of Aston Martin, said: "Combining the bold design aesthetic and pioneering engineering innovation which define Aston Martin and Brough Superior's work to-date, the AMB 002 is the vivid expression of our shared passion for sculptural, visceral, covetable machines."
Powering the AMB 002 Roadster is a 1,083cc V-twin engine with 130bhp and 110Nm of torque, which sits within a full titanium frame which weighs just 5kg.
To help keep weight down, all of the bike's panels are crafted from carbon fibre, as is the fuel tank.
Given the AMB 002 Roadster's limited run, it's likely to command a high price tag.
