Aug 25-31: RON97 petrol down 5 sen to RM4.30

PETALING JAYA: The retail price of RON97 petrol will drop 5 sen to RM4.30 per litre with effect from Aug 25-31.

Prices of RON95 petrol and diesel remain unchanged at their respective ceiling prices of RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre, said the Ministry of Finance today.

The weekly retail pricing of petroleum products are set using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.

To protect the consumers from global oil price increase, the Government will maintain the ceiling price of RON95 petrol and diesel even though the market prices for both products have exceeded the current ceiling price.
