SYDNEY: MG Motor Australia has launched the new limited-run MGU9 Black Edition, which combines rugged capability, premium comfort and distinctive blacked-out styling.
Australia is the first market globally to receive the highly anticipated dual-cab ute.
It is powered by MG's proven 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and three-Lock system for greater grip when off-roading.
With a 3.5-tonne towing capacity, spacious tray and 18-inch all-terrain alloy wheels as standard, the Black Edition is built for work and adventure.
The MGU9 Black Edition also introduces Towing Cruise Control (TCC) with activated towing.

The Black Edition builds on the already highly specified MGU9 platform, featuring its unique locally developed multi-link independent rear suspension system and signature electric-opening tailgate.
At the touch of a button, the rear tailgate lowers to reveal a drop-down step for easy access to the tub.
It also doubles as a practical seating area when lowered, with built-in cup holders.
The spacious interior incorporates quality materials, premium infotainment technology, heated steering wheel and front seats.

Finished with exclusive blacked-out accents including the grille, MG badging, wheel caps and side trim, complete with a stamped tailgate design, the MGU9 Black Edition brings a sharper, more contemporary look to the range.
MG Motor Australia marketing director Dimitri Andreatidis said, "Since launching the MGU9, we've seen strong interest from Australians looking for a ute with a more distinctive look and premium feel. The Black Edition was developed in response to that demand, bringing together the capability customers expect with exclusive styling that gives the vehicle even greater presence on the road.”
