AFFALTERBACH: The Mercedes-AMG GTR "Beast of the Green Hell" is now available as a racing bike – the new Rotwild R.S2 Limited-Edition "Beast of the Green Hell" that's limited to only 50 examples.

The hand-built racing bike is the third bicycle model to be jointly presented by Mercedes-AMG and Rotwild.

Being on the occasion of this year's AMG company anniversary, the bike pays homage to the Mercedes-AMG GT R and is available for order exclusively from the Rotwild sales department for 7,109 euros (RM34,900).

The price is reminiscent of the 7.10.9-minute lap time set by the street-legal GT R on the legendary 22.8km Nordschleife (Green Hell) circuit of the Nürburgring.

The frame uses Carbon Module Monocoque Technology (MMT2) as well as High Modulus and High Tenacity fibresto for increased rigidity and some significant weight loss.

It also features a specially-shaped seat to help improve damping for comfort on long rides.

The 29.0-inch Crankbrothers Cobalt 11 carbon wheels help in acceleration and deceleration.

The design of the wheels keeps the rotating masses as low as possible and shifts the weight closer to the wheel centre.

The twin-pair spoke design ensures the lateral rigidity of the wheels.

All other components of the racing bike use top of the line products such as the Shimano disk brakes, drivetrain and shifting technology.

The bike offers its rider direct steering with a sporty seating position, good propulsion and high directional stability even during fast descents.

In 2013, the full-suspension R.X45 AMG carbon-fibre mountain bike was introduced and was followed by the ROTWILD GT S inspired by AMG mountain bike in 2015.
