BEIJING: China is the world's largest vehicle market, with sales of 21.15 million passenger cars and 3.45 million commercial vehicles in 2015.

The Auto China show, which alternates yearly between Beijing and Shanghai, is among the top-ranked auto shows globally.



Showgirls at the motor show were among the highlights, but this time, in line with the increasingly sophisticated tastes of Chinese car buyers, the scantily-clad models are no longer seen.

Instead, as with other top-ranked motor shows, the brand ambassadors are rather demure and sweet-looking, and are dressed fashionably in a way that is not going to raise the blood pressure of hot-blooded men.
