LONDON: Bentley Motors has introduced its most striking SUV yet, the Bentayga S Black Edition, marking a daring evolution in its design ethos.

For the first time in Bentley's 105-year history, the vehicle showcases black-tinted wings, alongside a palette of seven vivid accent colours namely Mandarin, Signal Yellow, Klein Blue, Pillar Box Red, Ice, Hyper Green, and Beluga.

These colours serve to accentuate the SUV's dynamic appearance both internally and externally, standing in stark contrast to the predominantly black details.

The exterior of the Bentayga S Black Edition features unique design elements such as a laser-like stripe across the body kit, color-matched brake calipers behind 22” black-painted wheels, and all exterior brightware replaced with gloss black alternatives. Notably, it debuts gloss black Bentley Wings and lettering, a first in Bentley's century-plus history.

Additionally, a Black Edition badge adorns the rear D pillar, further distinguishing this model.

Bentley has also expanded the Bentayga range's appeal through new personalisation options, including seven satin paints, an extra exterior color, and a new 21-inch wheel design. Innovations aimed at enhancing driver and passenger experience have been introduced, such as all-wheel steering for improved maneuverability and new chassis technology.

The Bentayga S Black Edition benefits from a unique interior colour scheme, integrating Beluga leather with vibrant accent colours, embroidered 'S' emblems on each seat, and a new carbon fibre weave for added visual depth.

Interior detailing in the S Black Edition transitions to a Dark Chrome pack as standard, replacing traditional bright chrome elements with gloss black counterparts.

Three audio systems offer escalating sound quality levels, starting with the Bentley Signature Audio system.

The Bang & Olufsen for Bentley system takes sound quality to another level, while also featuring stunning illuminated speaker grilles, while the Naim for Bentley system represents the ultimate in automotive sound quality.

Dynamic driving capabilities are emphasized through electronic all-wheel steering, enhancing agility and stability across speeds, coupled with Bentley Dynamic Ride for optimal comfort and handling.

The S Black Edition features a 4.0-litre V8 engine, delivering 542 bhp and achieving a 0-100kph time of 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 289kph.

Bentley has fine-tuned the Bentayga S Black Edition for an engaging driving experience, incorporating a sports exhaust and recalibrating the torque vectoring by brake system for sharper responsiveness.

The vehicle retains its comprehensive off-road capabilities, with the optional All-Terrain Specification bringing four off-road modes (Snow and Wet Grass, Dirt and Gravel, Mud and Trail, and Sand) along with a 500 mm wading depth.

In addition to the V8 model, the Bentayga S Hybrid Black Edition caters to environmentally conscious enthusiasts, blending sporting performance with the benefits of electrification.

With a combined output of 456 bhp, the 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol engine and 100 kW electric motor-generator can power the Bentayga S Hybrid Black Edition from 0-100kph in 5.3 seconds, with a top speed of 254kph. The sensation of effortless power is accentuated by the hybrid powertrain due to the capability of the electric motor to deliver its full torque output from standstill

Like its V8-powered stablemate - the Bentayga S Hybrid Black Edition provides a more engaging drive, featuring (whilst in Sport mode) sound enhancements in the engine bay complementing the sound of the V6 TFSI and adding to the more sporting character of the car.
