KUALA LUMPUR: Bermaz Xpeng Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of XPeng vehicles in Malaysia, has announced a recall campaign for the XPeng X9.
This follows XPeng’s voluntary recall in China for certain X9 vehicles produced before 11 August 2025.
The recall relates to a potential issue involving the front air springs, and vehicles from other production batches are not affected.
Bermaz XPeng says it is committed to responsible ownership and transparent communication, and is working closely with XPeng to ensure a smooth and timely recall process for affected customers in Malaysia.
For vehicles confirmed to be affected in Malaysia, Bermaz XPeng will provide a free replacement of the complete front air suspension assembly.
The warranty coverage for the front air suspension system will also be extended to eight years or 160,000km, whichever comes first, commencing from the vehicle’s registration date and the extended warranty is transferable to the vehicle.
Bermaz XPeng is coordinating closely with regional partners and relevant authorities to ensure that parts supply, technical procedures and service capacity are ready for timely implementation.

Affected customers may also schedule an appointment with an XPeng Authorised Service Centre through the XPeng mobile app to facilitate the necessary rectification.
