BMW introduces centrelock wheels to selected M models

By CARSIFU | 18 November 2023

MUNICH: BMW has introduced centrelock wheels as part of its M Performance Parts program, bringing motorsport technology to its high performance road cars.

The lightweight forged wheels, which have been adapted from motorsport, feature a sporty design and optimised weight.

They are attached to the wheel hub with a single central screw, allowing for fast wheel changes and reducing rotating masses.

The centrelock wheels are available for the M2, M3 Touring Competition, M3 Sedan, M4 Coupe, and M4 Convertible.

They come in sizes 19 inches for the front axle and 20 inches for the rear axle, with a Jet Black matte colour and milled M Performance lettering. The wheels are equipped with tyres in dimensions 275/35 ZR19 for the front and 285/30 ZR20 for the rear.

In addition to the centrelock wheels, BMW's M Performance Parts program offers a range of retrofit options for suspension, drivetrain, aerodynamics, and cockpit customisation.

These options allow for a performance-oriented customisation and provide a racetrack feeling in everyday traffic.

The program includes options such as the M Performance suspension with height-adjustable spring perches and the M Performance sport brake system for a boost in dynamics and agility.

Carbon components, made of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) and sealed with clear lacquer, are also available to enhance the exterior appearance of M cars. These include front attachments, rear diffusers, and side sill inserts.

Inside the cockpit, BMW M Performance Parts offer high-quality carbon and Alcantara elements to convey the motorsport genes of BMW M.
