KUALA LUMPUR: After the recent debut of the new BMW M 1000 RR Competition, BMW Motorrad Malaysia has unveiled its hyper naked counterpart – the new M 1000 R Competition.
The retail price (on the road, with three-year warranty and three-year roadside assistance programmes, without insurance) for the new M 1000 R Competition is RM219,500.
With BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, ownership of the M 1000 R Competition starts from RM3,068 per month (based on the Straight Line Financing estimates of an 90% loan on a seven-year tenure).
Additional benefits are the premium engine oil inclusive, service inclusive, and warranty extension Programmes by BMW Motorrad Malaysia.

BMW Group Malaysia managing director Benjamin Nagel said, “The new M 1000 RR Competition was the embodiment of high-powered motorsport performance on two wheels. Today, BMW Motorrad Malaysia is thrilled to be able to continue this momentum with the introduction of the new M 1000 R Competition – a motorcycle that takes that same uncompromising DNA and translates it into a hyper naked form, delivering adrenaline-charged performance for the road."
The M 1000 R Competition is engineered for those who demand superbike-level performance with everyday agility and street-focused character.
It features a dual-flow LED headlight, with the M logo prominently displayed in the air intake.
The rear frame and swingarm now feature a Platinum Grey metallic finish, while black structural winglets, clutch and generator covers reinforce its aggressive, motorsport-inspired design.

At its mechanical core, the M 1000 R Competition harnesses the same race-bred 999cc inline four-cylinder engine as its RR sibling, delivering 154kW (210hp) at 13,750rpm and 113Nm at 11,000rpm.
It achieves a 0–100kph in just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of over 250kph - all while meeting the Euro 5+ emissions standard.
Rider control is taken to the next level with the M short-stroke throttle, featuring a 58-degree rotation angle for hyper-responsive throttle input - perfect for carving through corners or snapping open the throttle on a fast sweep.
The Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) has also been fine-tuned to reflect RR-level performance, particularly in Race Mode, providing refined slip control.

As standard, the M 1000 R Competition comes with a suite of high-performance features including Riding Modes Pro - offering Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, Race Pro 1, Race Pro 2, and Race Pro 3 modes - with adjustable throttle response, engine braking, traction control, wheelie control and ABS (anti-lock braking system).
Other standard equipment includes Cruise Control, Gear Shift Assistant Pro, M start-up animation, M chassis kit, M Lightweight battery, M brakes, M Titanium Exhaust, M Seat, and an anti‑theft alarm system.
The M 1000 R Competition is offered in the exclusive M Competition variant in Blackstorm metallic M Motorsport colours, delivering a significant upgrade through the full M Competition package.

This comprehensive package features the M Carbon Package, comprising matte-finish carbon components including the front and rear wheel covers, carbon tank cover in blue and red, carbon airbox cover, carbon front fender with integrated chain guard and carbon rear fender, carbon sprocket cover, carbon wind deflector, carbon side panels, and the carbon passenger seat cover.
The M Billet Pack adds CNC-milled enhancements in the rider footrest system for added adjustability and dynamic ergonomics.
Completing the M Competition specification are M Carbon Wheels, M Carbon Winglets, the M Endurance Chain, M Passenger Kit, and the M GPS-Laptrigger.
Further emphasising its motorsport credentials are an anodised rear swingarm and black fuel tank.
