PETALING JAYA: BMW Group Malaysia has expanded its performance and premium vehicle portfolio with the introduction of three new models at the BMW Clubhouse event at Factory 19 here.

New to the scene are the limited-production M2 CS (G87), the M3 Touring Competition M xDrive (G81) and the updated locally assembled 218 Gran Coupe M Sport (F74).

The M2 CS comes with a recommended retail price (RRP) of RM950,800, M3 Touring Competition M xDrive at RM898,800 and the 218 Gran Coupe M Sport at RM192,800.

With BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) programme added, the pricing of M2 CS goes up to RM993,100, the M3 Touring Competition M xDrive up to RM950,900 and the 218 Gran Coupe M Sport up to RM204,800.

All three models are supported by BMW Group Malaysia’s “Relax. We Care.” ownership ecosystem, which includes BMW Proactive Care, real-time vehicle monitoring, 24/7 BMW Roadside Assistance and comprehensive warranty and maintenance coverage.

Under BSRI, M2 CS and M3 Touring Competition M xDrive will get a five-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and five-year or 100,000km complimentary scheduled maintenance coverage .

Meanwhile, the 218 Gran Coupe M Sport receives a four-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty together with four-year or 80,000km complimentary scheduled maintenance coverage.

Making its Malaysian debut, the BMW M2 CS arrives as the most powerful and lightest factory-built M2 ever produced, while also holding the record as the fastest production model in the Premium Compact Car category around the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Developed with a strong focus on track performance, the limited-production coupe is approximately 30kg lighter than the standard M2 and is available in Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey and Velvet Blue.

The M2 CS features a model-specific kidney grille with wider air intakes, red-outlined M2 CS emblems, a matt black front splitter, an M Carbon roof and a bespoke full-carbon tailgate with an integrated “ducktail” spoiler lip for increased rear downforce.

The aggressive styling is completed by an M Carbon rear diffuser, black twin tailpipes, Adaptive LED headlights with High Beam Assistant, M Lights Shadowline trim and staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear M light alloy wheels in Star-spoke Style 827 M design finished in Gold Bronze.

Power comes from BMW M’s 3.0-litre S58B30T0 twin-turbo inline-six engine, closely related to the P58 GT3 race engine, producing 530hp and 650Nm of torque.

Drive is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, allowing the M2 CS to accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 3.8 seconds and achieve a top speed of 302kph with the optional M Driver’s Package.

Before accessing the vehicle’s full performance capability (including its 302kph top speed), owners must complete a mandatory 2,000km running-in service and check.

The M2 CS rides on CS-specific Adaptive M Suspension lowered by 8mm, specially tuned springs and dampers, an M Sport differential and M Compound brakes with high-gloss red callipers.

Inside, the cabin features M Carbon bucket seats in Merino Black leather, an M Alcantara steering wheel with carbon elements, carbon fibre trim, M seat belts and a high-gloss carbon fibre centre console with CS branding.

Technology highlights include BMW Live Cockpit Professional, Connected Package Professional, Personal eSIM, BMW Digital Key integration and a 14-speaker, 464-watt Harman Kardon surround sound system.

Joining the M2 CS is the M3 Touring Competition M xDrive, marking the first official arrival of the M3 Touring wagon in Malaysia.

Celebrating the M3 nameplate’s 40th anniversary, the high-performance estate combines M division performance with everyday practicality, offering a 500-litre luggage capacity that expands to 1,510 litres with the rear seats folded.

Available in Skyscraper Grey with either Merino Yas Marina Blue or Merino Silverstone interior, or Isle of Man Green with Merino Kyalami Orange interior, the M3 Touring features Matrix Adaptive LED headlights, M Lights Shadowline trim and 19-inch front and 20-inch rear M forged wheels.

Powered by the same 530hp S58 engine, the M3 Touring transfers power through BMW’s intelligent M xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

It accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 3.6 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250kph.

The model features Adaptive M Suspension, M Sport differential and M Compound brakes, while the cabin receives BMW Curved Display technology with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 14.9-inch touchscreen running BMW Operating System 8.5.

Safety equipment includes Driving Assistant Professional with Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Lane Change Assistant, Lane Keeping Assistant with active side collision protection and Parking Assistant Plus with Surround View and Remote 3D View.

Completing the line-up is the updated locally assembled 218 Gran Coupe M Sport, limited to only 50 units.

Available in Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey and Portimao Blue, with optional Coral Red Veganza interior exclusively for Black Sapphire, the new variant succeeds the BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport launched in June last year.

The exterior features the BMW Kidney Iconic Glow grille, Adaptive LED headlights, M Sport diffuser, High-Gloss Shadowline elements and 18-inch M light alloy wheels in Y-spoke Style 975M Bicolour design.

Inside, the cabin features Illuminated Aluminium Graphite trim, M-coloured stitching, BMW Curved Display with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and 10.7-inch control display, BMW Operating System 9 with QuickSelect, Veganza sport seats, wireless charging and a 430-litre boot.

Power comes from a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder Miller-cycle engine producing 156hp and 230Nm of torque, driving the front wheels through a seven-speed Steptronic transmission.

The compact four-door coupe completes the 0-100kph sprint in 8.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 230kph.

The chassis receives Adaptive M Suspension, upgraded axle kinematics and BMW’s ARB wheel slip limitation system, while driver assistance features include Driving Assistant Plus, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Parking Assistant Plus, Remote 3D View and a 50m Reversing Assistant.

BMW Group Malaysia managing director Benjamin Nagel said the three models demonstrated BMW’s continued commitment to driving enthusiasts while expanding customer choice.

“There is a reason BMW M is known as The Most Powerful Letter in the World,” said Nagel.

“This is the Power of Choice in action - giving our customers the freedom to define their own driving experience, whether through everyday versatility or track-inspired precision,” he said.

The three new models will be displayed at the BMW Clubhouse event at Factory 19 PJ until July 19, with official order books now open at authorised BMW dealerships nationwide.
