BMW M3 CS could come with manual transmission and rear-wheel drive

MUNICH: The upcoming BMW M3 CS (Competition Sport) is believed will be made available with manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
According to BMWblog, the ultimate version of the G80 M3 sports sedan is expected to be lighter than the current M3 Competition and could ditch the automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system to achieve the effect.
At the moment, the Competition editions are just a step below the CS offerings in pecking order of performance and "purer" driving levels.
The current M3 Competition is already packing 510hp and 650Nm of torque from its 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder turbo engine for 0-100kph sprint time of 3.9 seconds.
The M3 Competition is available in six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive system depending on the market.
