SHAH ALAM: UMW Toyota Motor has started taking orders for the all-new Toyota Corolla Altis which will be launched locally soon.
Orders for the new sedan can be placed at any authorised Toyota showroom nationwide from today. The car will be available in variants of 1.8G estimated at RM136,888 and 1.8E at RM128,888.
The Corolla Altis has been completely redesigned and re-engineered using the Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform that promises to deliver better performance, superior driving
dynamics and comfort.
The car will also get the latest Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), an integrated safety systems that provide a safer driving experience and other sophisticated features.
The Corolla is considered the best-selling car in the world and is among the first cars to be assembled in Malaysia about 50 years ago.
Other brands are also upping their game by incorporating advanced safety features in their cars. One example is Honda with its Honda Sensing in the Odyssey, Accord and the CR-V.
The order-taking comes two days after Honda Malaysia said it is accepting orders for its refreshed Civic, the rival to the Corolla Altis, which is due for launch by the fourth quarter.
