PETALING JAYA: Tuning house Brabus has turned the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S into the Rocket 900 and heavily modified the twin-turbo V8 engine to increase displacement from 4.0 to 4.5 litres.

It also installed a pair of custom turbochargers with a larger compressor unit and a higher maximum boost pressure to create an output of 888hp and 1,250Nm of torque.

There is an electronic limiter to protect the drivetrain by capping the torque to 1,050Nm.

The Rocket 900 has bumped up the output of the GT63 S to an extra 258hp and 150Nm.

It does 0 to 100kph in 2.8 seconds and Brabus has limited the top speed to 330kph due to the car’s weight and to protect the tyres.

Besides the aggressive body kit,  the Rocket 900 has custom 21-inch wheels in the front and 22-inch in the rear with built-in aero discs from exposed carbon.

It's also 25mm less ground clearance than the GT63 S and also adds an air suspension developed by Brabus with Comfort and Sport modes.

Featuring a Stealth Gray paint, the inside has black leather and Alcantara and will cost US$515,000 (RM2.14mil).
