LONDON: MG Motor has confirmed that Jozef Kaban has joined the company, accepting the role of Vice President at the company’s Global Design Centre.
Kaban is tasked to develop MG’s global design language and joins the company at an exciting time, with MG celebrating its 100th anniversary and the arrival of the high-performance Cyberster EV roadster later in 2024.
MG will also unveil its latest concept car at the Beijing motor show later this week, the EXE181, which draws inspiration from the land-speed record-breaking EX181 from 1957.
Kaban, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Art here, has made his mark, directing design for some of the automotive industry’s leading marques including BMW, Skoda, and Rolls-Royce.
His achievements also include the design of the Bugatti Veyron supercar. Kaban, 51, previously served as chief exterior designer at Audi where he worked on the Audi A5 coupe.
The British marque is owned by Shanghai-based state-owned carmaker SAIC Motor.
