KUALA LUMPUR: Caltex Malaysia has appointed Leong Jee Wong as its new country chairman.
Leong has over 27 years of experience and most recently served as fuels and lubricants manager, overseeing the fuels and lubricants sales channels in Singapore.
“It is an honour to lead a company with such a strong legacy and talented team. Throughout the years with Caltex, I have been fortunate to grow alongside the company through a range of roles that reflect our shared journey and progress, and I look forward to continuing our shared journey and creating positive impact for our business and communities,” said Leong.
After joining Caltex in 2005, Leong spent two decades honing expertise across sales and operations and built a well-rounded career across the company’s downstream business.
He has experience spanning merchandising, commercial and industrial fuels, product supply and distribution, terminal operations, and lubricants sales across the Southeast Asia region.

Leong was also previously based in Malaysia as the area transportation and operations manager from 2017 to 2020, building up keen knowledge on the supply chain in the country.
He mentions that his experiences have enabled him to drive the business forward with a keen understanding of the value drivers in the energy industry.
Leong also emphasises the importance of keeping a commitment to the company’s core values, which remains central to its culture.
While he has witnessed Caltex’s evolution into a more agile and streamlined organisation, he notes that its dedication to these values continues to shape the way the company operates.
Through his new role, Leong is committed to his own vision for the Malaysia market.
He aims to work closely with Caltex Malaysia’s retail partners to support local communities, deliver affordable energy solutions, and further strengthen the company’s reputation for its people, partnerships, and performance.
