PETALING JAYA: An online platform called Monkey Wash that aims to provide a car wash service is launched today.
At the same time, it has a twin goal to provide employment opportunities in Malaysia.
It bills itself as the largest on-call car wash service that is offering more than 1,000 jobs and 100 slots for people to become car wash kiosk operators.
Founder and CEO Terry Swee said the platform is a breakthrough locally as it not only serves the public but also provides the opportunity for individuals to generate permanent and/or side income by becoming a car wash kiosk owner.
Under Monkey Wash’s Car Wash Kiosk Programme, entrepreneurs can take part as kiosk operators with a small outlay in capital.
Future services that will be included on the app-based platform are launderette and house cleaning, he added.
Monkey Wash is now available in the Klang Valley, Penang, Negri Sembilan, Bintulu and Johor Baru.
Its founder also plans to expand the service to Brunei next month.
