Carro Malaysia offers discounts, vouchers and lucky draw prizes

KUALA LUMPUR: This Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Carro, Southeast Asia's largest used car marketplace, reminds us that every balik kampung journey is as important as the destination.

Carro’s latest festive film tells a story that explores our connections and memories with our loved ones through every balik kampung journey.

(For MY only) This is Carro Malaysia’s first Raya film since renaming from myTukar earlier in March. It now takes on the same name as the rest of its counterparts in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, alongside Taiwan and Japan, fully integrating into the brand and its offerings.

Titled ‘Who is Siti?’, the film tells a story of a family stuck in a traffic jam during their ‘balik kampung’. But everyone perks up when Grandma insists on a wild goose chase after an orange car. Is she itching for some festive excitement? Or did she spot a long-lost family member in the crowd?

Carro regional head of marketing Katherine Teo says, “The balik kampung drive might take hours, but every journey, every traffic jam and every car ride forms a family’s collective memories. The journey home matters, and that’s why we are committed to delivering quality and safe rides that will allow people to drive home worry-free.”

“After last year’s tearjerker which highlighted the importance of going home to what matters, we thought it was only right for this year’s film to show that the journey home is equally precious,” says Carro creative director Simond Chew. “We also wanted to break expectations and flip the usual heart wrenching Raya genre on its head; what better way to bring out the excitement of going home with a high tension, comedic car chase adventure.”

Carro Malaysia CEO Derrick Eng says, “The film’s ending tagline ‘Family, it’s what drives us’ really captures the spirit of Raya and our values as a brand. Firstly, we want to cherish our memories with our loved ones and acknowledge their significance in our lives. Secondly, it’s a reminder of our commitment to all the families in Malaysia who trust us and choose us time and again.”

The film can be viewed on Carro Malaysia’s YouTube channel, and is also released in Singapore and Indonesia.

As part of the celebrations, customers in Malaysia who buy a Carro Certified vehicle from 17 April onwards can look forward to major discounts, vouchers and lucky draw prizes!

Plus, they get to enjoy up to RM8,000 off selected Carro Certified cars!

The first 800 customers who book a vehicle will be entitled to a 30% discount voucher for Carro Care’s Body & Paint services, a 10% discount voucher for Carro Care maintenance services and a 10% discount voucher on insurance renewals.

Customers can also look forward to lucky draw prizes such as, including cashback worth RM5,000, a Philips 43” Android TV worth RM1,800, Habib vouchers worth RM1,000 and petrol vouchers!
